🐾 BREAKING MEWS: West Monroe is Going to the Dogs... and Cats, and Bunnies, and Parrots?! 🐾
Hold onto your leashes, folks, because the Kiroli Foundation is unleashing something paws-itively amazing — the first-ever West Monroe Pet Mayor Contest! Yes, you heard that right. It’s time for the real local leaders to step forward (or waddle, hop, or trot): our pets.
Think your fur baby (or scale, feather, or shell baby) has what it takes to rule the city with charm and a wagging tail? 🐶🐱🦜 Nominations are open now through May 31 at www.wmpetmayor.com, and it’s just $20 per pet to throw their collar in the ring. But hurry — there are only a limited number of nomination slots before the competition gets too ruff!
Once all the hopefuls are in, voting begins in June — just $1 per vote, so campaign early and often! Bribing your friends with dog treats to vote? Morally questionable, but adorable.
🥇 The crowned Pet Mayor of West Monroe will:
- Be honored at a special ceremony at Kiroli Park this summer
- Snap an official paw-trait with Mayor Staci Mitchell at City Hall
- Appear on West Monroe Parks & Rec social media (move over, influencers)
- Take center stage at Kiroli Park’s 100th Birthday Bash on October 18, 2025
- Earn their human a family membership to Kiroli Park and a fancy mayoral proclamation
All proceeds go toward making Kiroli Park even more paw-some for visitors of all species.
